Experimentation and improvisation are the cornerstones of my practice. Driven by curiosity, I aim to capture the visual temperament, space and environment of the human experience. Shifting between painting, sewing and assembling objects, I use a wide variety of materials—paint, fiber, textiles, mixed media—this brings me back to the studio again and again.
Embracing the imperfection of the human hand, I approach my work intuitively and allow form and color to mingle, interact and guide my next steps. Neither representational or abstract, the result invites the viewer to investigate and explore, to experience the energy of the work, and allows the final determination of the subject to remain ambiguous.
